Every snowflake is unique.

My very first “craft” project was at about the age of 8, a kit I convinced my mom to buy me at a local craft and hobby store. The result was two perfect Mr. and Mrs. Santa Mouse heads that my mom kept until they disintegrated. I moved on to the ceramic house painting kits, and as I got older I started an extensive collection of Christmas decorations and ornaments.

I also inherited my dad’s love of jewelry. Frustrated that I did not have the physical structure to carry off wearing jewelry (skinny fingers, wrists and neck; men don’t get to wear the spectacular pieces), I began to craft and collect decorative accessories that were jewel-like, to satisfy my crave to own and admire sparkly things.

I also have begun collecting original artworks because I appreciate the skill and talent that can be seen only in the original piece, as well as the excitement knowing I own the only one.

I created Couturenaments as a way to offer the Christmas collectors out there an opportunity to add something original to their collections. Not just an ornament, but an artwork of heirloom quality. Not one of a thousand, but only one of one.

Each Couturenament is a snowflake I have created for you, to admire and add to your collection.
